Missing Aurora Woman IDed As Body Found In Southern Colorado
Human remains found near I-25 were identified as LeBrea Jackson, 23, who went missing in Aurora in December.

AGUILAR, CO – A body found in southern Colorado near an abandoned truck stop off I-25 was identified Tuesday night as LeBrea Jackson, 23, who was reported missing in Aurora in December, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation said.
Just after 3 p.m. Sunday Jan. 6, residents walking in the area near the an abandoned truck stop at Exit 34 on Interstate 25 called Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office to report they had found human remains.
The Las Animas Coroner's Office made the identification of Jackson Tuesday.

Jackson's family reported her missing to Aurora police on Dec. 26, police said.
The case is now being investigated as a homicide by the Aurora Police Department Major Crimes Homicide Unit, the Aurora police said in a statement.

"This homicide investigation remains very active," police said. There was "no threat to the public,"police announced.
Anyone who has any information about Jackson's disappearance or death is asked to call Aurora Police Agent Ingui at 303-739-6067.
Tips can also be sent to the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867). By calling Crime Stoppers tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a Reward of up to $2,000, police said.
