Last weekend, the Teller County Sheriff's Department, along with investigators from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the FBI, searched the 34-acre ranch near Florissant of Berreth's fiancé Patrick Frazee, who lives on family property. The sheriff's department brought cadaver dogs and a backhoe to the ranch, but ultimately left without any arrest or announcement from the Woodland Park police.
"We continue to make steady progress with multiple investigative leads in this case," De Young's letter said Thursday night.
Berreth, a flight instructor and mother of a 1-year-old daughter, disappeared on Thanksgiving day, reportedly after handing off her child to Frazee.
Police said three days after she disappeared, text messages from Berreth's phone were received at her employer, Pueblo-based Doss Aviation and Frazee. Investigators said Berreth's phone "pinged" near Gooding, Idaho, about 600 miles from her home in Woodland Park, a small town in the mountains west of Colorado Springs.
Kelsey was not reported missing until ten days after her disappearance. It has now been 28 days since she was last seen.
The family created a Facebook page called “Missing Mother – Kelsey Berreth” to raise awareness about her disappearance, authorities said.
