  1. It's time for the annual 4-H family carnival! This yearly event will be held at the Boulder County Fairgrounds on March 11 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This marks the first time the carnival has been held in its entirety since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The biggest fundraiser for all 25 Boulder County 4-H clubs, the carnival will feature over 20 activity booths with classic games (which will be staffed by Boulder County 4-H club members), as well as a plethora of tantalizing good eats and prizes galore. There’s no cost to enter and no pre-registration is required. Tickets for activity booths are 50 cents each and can be purchased at the door. (Longmont Times-Call)
  2. The 19th annual Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) is right around the corner complete with films, food, music and adventures. The event will take place from March 2 - 5. Screenings will be held across four venues. BIFF will host more than 70 features and shorts and a series of staples that have come to define the festival. This year’s opening night film will be Immediate Family, Friday, March 3. The Colorado premiere of Little Richard: I Am Everything will be held on Saturday, March 4th. And for the vinyl heads: Squaring the Circle also on Saturday, March 4th. In addition, there will be Boulder's premiere of Ireland’s The Quiet Girl on Sunday, March 5th. The Quiet Girl will represent Ireland at the 95th Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category. There are several more movies to explore during the festival, hope you see something you like! (Boulder Weekly).
  3. The grand reopening of the new Boulder Elks Lodge is set for Saturday, March 11. It will be an evening filled with music from local mainstay Hazel Miller and fun. The Lodge has endured a series of unfortunate events including, but not limited to; asbestos removal, roof repair and last summer’s flooding. This has all led to a complete overhauling of the space, which has been a cornerstone of the community. The grand reopening will highlight the brand new, maple wood planked 3,000 square-foot dancefloor, reportedly one of the largest in Boulder County. So, I hope to see you there with bells on and ready to dance the night away! (Boulder Weekly)
