Adventure Film Festival Returns To Pearl Street
The festival weekend includes excursions, classes, music, and film for the whole family.

BOULDER, CO - The Adventure Film Festival is coming to town this weekend, and with it comes a line up of events that can't be taken sitting down. In addition to a full schedule of films hand-selected specifically for the Boulder audience, participants can take place in guided outdoors excursions, listen to inspiring speakers, take in the street fair, and try their hands at filmmaking, photography, or creative writing workshops. With special kids' attractions and performances, this is an event the whole family can enjoy.
The film selection is culled from over four hundred entrants and features local rising stars, international influencers, and world premieres, according to the event website. Films range in length from five minutes to an hour, and span the full spectrum of outdoor experience from marine-life to extreme surfers to Colorado's own Long's Peak. Film showings will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
For viewers who worry about sitting still for long enough to take in the full cinematic experience, there are a variety of guided adventures scheduled throughout the weekend fully capable of wearing you out, many of which are free of charge. Options include a mountain biking skills clinic, rock climbing, river clean-up and an indigenous peoples urban adventure hike among others. Check the schedule for times and prices for each excursion.
