Alert: Heavy Police Presence At 55th And Arapahoe

The situation is now believed to be a false alarm, as police no longer suspect that a robbery occurred.

BOULDER, CO -- There was a heavy police presence this afternoon near 55th Street and Arapahoe Avenue after a witness reported an altercation between two men outside the Premier Members Credit Union and believed that a robbery had occurred, according to a press release from the Boulder Police Department. Boulder police posted a tweet shortly before 1 p.m. today alerting the public to the suspected situation.

However, representatives from the credit union confirmed that no crime had occurred at their business and that they were open as usual. Several sources reported that a robbery had instead taken place at a nearby taco truck. Police now report that they have located both suspects and do not believe that a crime occurred, and have confirmed that the credit union was not involved.
