Attempted Murder In Boulder: Police Make Arrest
The suspect was located on Sunday; police seek information on a good Samaritan who witnessed the crime.

BOULDER, CO -- Boulder Police arrested Joshua Male, 40, shortly before noon on Sunday, Dec. 2, on suspicion of attempted murder after he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend on Saturday. The alleged assault occurred underneath the bridge at the Goose Creek Path and Foothills Parkway. Male was located sleeping near a building in the 2800 block of Wilderness Place and arrested for first degree murder, second degree assault, third degree assault, and domestic violence.
According to a press release from the Boulder Police Department, the victim’s mother contacted police shortly before 5 p.m. on Saturday, stating that her daughter was beaten up by her boyfriend. Both Male and the victim are homeless, and she told police that he became physically violent towards her in a discussion about their living situation.
A man by the name of ‘Pete’ stopped and offered to drive the woman to a safe place. Police would like to speak to him and are requesting he call 303-441-3333.

Male is currently being held at the Boulder County Jail.
