Bear Break-In Captured On Camera

A Boulder black bear decided to find a little shelter from the snowstorm in a local car.

BOULDER, CO -- The snow may have been falling, but at least one Boulder County bear wasn't quite ready for hibernation. During this weekend's snowstorm, the security camera on a local resident's home captured footage of an extremely delicate break-in by a very diligent black bear.

Amid footage of steady snowflakes, the bear walks up to a car that is entirely covered by snow, opens the door and crawls right in. After looking around the interior, he exits the car and walks away. "Delicate in the way he opens all the doors, brutal indifference in remembering to shut them," analyzed Red Van Workshop, posting the video on Twitter. The Colorado Parks and Wildlife service replied with a video of it's own, showing the kind of damage a bear can do to a car's interior.

As temperatures warm up this weekend, it still might be a good idea to leave your doors locked overnight.
