Boulder Hosts Drop-Off Points For Prescription Take-Back Day

Sheriff's office announces three drop-off locations throughout the county for this Saturday.

BOULDER, CO - County residents can bring unwanted prescription pills, patches or small amounts of liquid medication to specific locations throughout the county this Saturday as a part of National Drug Take-Back Day. Three locations, one in Boulder, one in Lyons, and one in Superior. will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the service. According to a press release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, the drop-offs are free and anonymous.

Chemotherapy medication, syringes, and inhalers are among items that will not be accepted at Saturday's locations. Information on their safe disposal, as well as year-round locations accepting leftover prescriptions, can be found on the Boulder County website.
