Boulder Int'l Film Festival Announces Lineup, Opens Ticket Sales

The 2019 schedule is out — it's time to grab your tickets and start planning!

BOULDER, CO -- The Boulder International Film Festival released its full program and opened ticket sales this morning. Early bird passes are still available, and offer festival-goers a $75 discount off a full event package with guaranteed entrance to all special events.

Talkback Cafe events will allow participants to discuss films with presenters, filmmakers, and other viewers. Events will be located at The Tent on Pearl Street, and will include free food and drinks from local vendors. Some of the films up for discussion will include The Biggest Little Farm, Saint Judy, Anthropocene: The Human Epoch, and Skid Row Marathon.

Films featured on Friday, March 1, will include Giant Little Ones, The Hummingbird Project, The Silence of Others, and Chef Flynn.

Saturday viewers can enjoy a selection of short films at the Boulder Theater including Magic Alps, Life in Miniature, and Animal Behavior. Features around town will include Tigerland, Bias, and Walking on Water. A second selection of short films will be shown at Boulder High School and will include Neverland, Age of Sail, and Caroline. The evening will close out with Ski Bum: The Warren Miller Story at the Boulder Theater.

Sunday's screenings include The Weight of Water, Styx, General Magic, Under the Wire, and A Tuba to Cuba. A short films round-up will take place at First Presbyterian Church, and will include Little Feil, The Brotherhood, and Frenchy.

Exclusive opening and closing events will give participants an opportunity to hear from filmmakers, enjoy food and drinks, and celebrate with fellow film lovers.

The free youth pavilion will host workshops such as Tween Filmmaking 101, Make a Movie with your Cell Phone, and Become a Zombie. Teen filmmakers will have a chance to showcase their movies on March 1 from 5:30–8:30 p.m. at the Boulder Public Library Canyon Theater.
