Boulder Named One Of America's Most Innovative Cities
Two other Colorado communities also made the nationwide top 25 ranking.

BOULDER, CO -- Nearly two-thirds of Boulder County adults have a bachelor's degree, and the area's residents were granted 9,137 patents in 2015. That was enough to give Boulder a solid 4th place ranking on a list compiled by 24/7 Wall Street of the most innovative cities in the United States.
The ranking took into consideration factors such as the presence of research institutions, efforts by local government and chambers of commerce, access to venture capital, and the ability of city leadership to be on the cutting edge of future innovations.
Boulder earned points for the large number of technology industry employers, with specific mentions going to IBM, Oracle, and Seagate Technologies, as well as for hosting the largest college campus in the state in CU-Boulder, and enterprising work by the Chamber of Commerce.
