Boulder Snow This Weekend: What To Expect

An early morning shower already gave us a dusting... how messy is it going to get by tonight?

(Mara Abbott/Patch)

BOULDER, CO -- Boulder got a quick hit of snow early this morning, and more is on the way this afternoon. According to the National Weather Service, Boulder could see between two and four inches by tomorrow morning. Totals will be higher to the west and in the foothills.

The snow is likely to get going around 4 p.m. today, so if you are able to modify the timing of your commute, cold temperatures during the day mean that the accumulation we do get is likely to stick. The snow will continue overnight into Saturday, but by Sunday, temperatures should be up into the mid-40s.

If you are traveling this weekend, take note: The Front Range has the lowest predicted accumulation in the state for this storm system. Impacts are expected to be heavier for locations both to the east and the west, with totals edging up toward eight inches in the mountains and on the far eastern plains.
