Boulder Valley Closes Mountain Schools
The district closed four of its mountain area schools Wednesday due to high winds and hazardous weather.

BOULDER, CO — Boulder Valley School District has closed its mountain schools due to high winds, the district announced Wednesday morning.
Nederland Middle-Senior High School, Nederland Elementary School, Jamestown Elementary School, and Gold Hill Elementary School are all closed Wednesday. Buses servicing Nederland schools are also not running Wednesday, the district said.
District buses are also not traveling into the mountains. Students who live in mountain areas who are not provided bus service will be granted an excused absence if they are not able to obtain alternative transportation.
