Boulder's Brooke Raboutou Qualifies For Sport Climbing Finals
The Colorado star athlete is set to compete in the eight-woman sport climbing final round on Friday in Tokyo.

BOULDER, CO — A 20-year-old champion rock climber from Boulder is advancing in the Tokyo Olympics.
Brooke Raboutou qualified into the sport climbing women's combined final Wednesday. She made four attempts to top three out of four boulder problems, coming in second behind Slovenia's Janja Garnbret.
Raboutou came in 8th on the lead wall and 12th on the speed wall. She qualified fifth to the eight-woman final round Friday.

Raboutou became the youngest person in the world to climb a 5.12b climbing grade at age 11, and she's the first U.S. climber ever to qualify for the Olympic Games.

A Fairview High School graduate, Raboutou is the daughter of former climbing world cup champions Didier Raboutou and Robyn Erbesfield-Raboutou, who allowed their daughter to begin climbing at age 1.
The 20-year-old told U.S. Magazine that her mother has always been her hero.
"She's always taught be there's nothing that I can't do because I'm a girl or woman," the young champion said.
