Boulder's Dead Return: Meet The Spirits At Columbia Cemetery

Come meet some of Boulder's most famous dearly departed in a once-a-year opportunity.

BOULDER, CO -- Should you wander into Columbia Cemetery this Sunday, you might just come face-to-face with a face from Boulder's past. Figures like Eben G. Fine, Mary Rippon, Tom Horn, Jane Doe, James Maxwell and Rocky Mountain Joe, are expected to rise from the dead – and chat history with interested visitors – at Historic Boulder's annual "Meet the Spirits" event.

From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., the cemetery will be filled with vintage hearses, mourners in period costumes, live music, a children’s cemetery scavenger hunt, and a burial re-enactment. Local authors and psychics will both be present to offer a full breadth of perspective on Boulder history.
