Boulder's Joe Neguse Elected To US House Leadership Team
The freshman senator is making waves already as he prepares to take over the seat held by governor-elect Jared Polis.

BOULDER, CO -- Boulder's Joe Neguse has been elected by to serve as one of two freshman representatives to the U.S House Democrats' leadership team when he takes office in January. He will share the position, elected by the incoming class of representatives, with California's Katie Hill.
"Truly honored to be elected by my colleagues to serve as Co-Freshman Representative to Leadership w/@KatieHill4CA for the 116th Congress! Excited to get to work with our diverse and historic freshman class," Neguse wrote in a Twitter post on Thursday.

The 34-year-old was elected in November to serve as the representative for Colorado's 2nd Congressional District, which includes Boulder, the mountains to the west, Fort Collins, Westminister, Thornton, and Northglenn. Neguse is one of the co-founders of Boulder's New Era Colorado, which works to mobilize the state's youth vote.
