BOULDER, CO — U.S. News and World Report announced its rankings on Tuesday of the best hotels in the country. Several Colorado hotels were featured in the rankings, and one made the Report's list of the top 50 hotels in the country.

U.S. News and World Report ranks "luxury hotels and resorts" annually by calculating a "Hotel Score" based on awards and recognition, class rating and guest ratings. New for this 2022 ranking, the report has ranked certain qualifying 3.5-star hotels.

A certain number of points are allocated for each category, and the overall score is calculated by adding up all of a hotel's points and dividing by the number of total points the hotel could have received.

This 5-star hotel ranked at the very top of Aspen and Colorado hotels and resorts, and it ranked 13th in U.S. hotels and seventh in U.S. resorts.
