Colorado Gives Day: Boulder County Guide

The December 4 annual day of giving is critical for BoCo non-profits. Make your perfect 2018 donation plan.

BOULDER, CO -- Colorado's birthday may be Aug. 1, but each year there is one day in December that our big, square state really gets a chance to shine. Colorado Gives Day is an annual event that mobilizes Coloradans to donate to non-profits across the state, and since its inception in 2010, it has become one of the largest one-day giving movements nationwide. This year, the floating holiday falls on December 4 - so the clock is already ticking!

Colorado Gives Day is a partnership between the Colorado Community First Foundation and FirstBank. Only donations made today through Coloradogives.org will be subject to a $1 million matching fund, proportionally distributed to the non-profits who receive contributions by midnight tonight.

The Colorado Gives website offers donors a variety of ways to help narrow down the thousands of options for their contributions. Once you click over to the giving page, you will be able to filter the list of profits by the county they serve, by the region they are located in, or by the type of services they offer – there are options for animal-lovers, the arts, science and technology, civil rights, the environment, and youth services, among others. You can even filter you choices using your zip code.
