Conagra To Lay Off 100, Depart From Boulder
The departure, intended to streamline Conagra processes, will also mean the end of the Boulder Brands name.

BOULDER, CO -- Conagra Foods will be closing its Boulder facility and laying off 100 local workers, according to a notice filed Tuesday with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. Conagra is the parent company of the Boulder Brands group, which includes lines like Udi's, Evol, and Earth Balance.
Locally-grown Boulder Brands was acquired by Pinnacle Foods in 2016, which was acquired by Conagra just last October. Along with its departure from the city, Conagra will also be dropping the Boulder Brands name for that group which includes Udi's, Evol and Earth Balance.
The decision was based on a desire to create greater integration and innovation within the Conagra brands. "This requires everyone being in the same location so that we can work fast and efficiently, share ideas for innovation in real-time and build our brands with each other," Conagra's vice president of communications, Mike Cummins, explained in an email to the Daily Camera.
