Cross-Generational Fishing Derby Set For Saturday
Event will be held rain, shine or snow!

BOULDER, CO - Young and old will meet at Walden Ponds on Saturday to try their hand at bagging the biggest rainbow trout in the Boulder County Parks and Open Space Junior and Senior Team Fishing Derby. Each team is required to have one senior, 64 years or older, and one junior, 15 years or younger. A wheelchair accessible pier will be available.
Prizes will be awarded for the team that catches the heaviest trout, has the largest age difference, and the first to reach the limit.
The tournament will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Wally Toevs Pond at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat on 75th Street between Jay Road and Valmont. Both live and artificial bait will be permitted, but seniors must have an active fishing license.
