"This Failure": Ramirez's Attorney Speaks On FBI Investigation
In two letters to FBI Director Christopher Wray, William Pittard details overlooked witness statements.

BOULDER, CO - A letter from Boulder resident Debbie Ramirez's attorney to FBI director Christopher Wray calls the bureau's investigation into his client's claims of sexual misconduct by Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh a "failure" and claims the FBI "did not want to learn the truth behind Ms. Ramirez's allegations." Willam Pittard, a Washington D.C. based lawyer who is partnering on Ramirez's case with Boulder's John Clune, released the letter to the public on Thursday morning, according to the Denver Post.
The letter mentions Ramirez's Sunday interview with the FBI, stating that "Ms. Ramirez spoke with the agents for approximately two hours, answering a host of detailed questions," and that she offered those agents "a list of more than 20 additional witnesses likely to have relevant information."
In his letter, Pittard details the claims and credentials of several of those witnesses who were never interviewed, and followed up with a second letter to Wray later in the day containing another statement from another witness that Ramirez says was not contacted. "The FBI apparently has concluded its investigation–without permitting its agents to investigate," wrote Pittard in his first letter of the day.
