Similar showcases have been a Boulder tradition since the early 1990s. The Boulder Dance Alliance/Space for Dance started the event to provide an opportunity for dancers of all levels to celebrate their art form. Dance Bridge, a City of Boulder Office of Arts + Culture program, took on the project in 2003 and has been producing this event each year since.
