Free "Human City" Community Event Monday At The Boulder Library
Are you ready to win some candy from the city's finance department in a game of blackjack?

BOULDER, CO -- The Boulder community is invited to participate in a family-friendly night of games and activities and get to know the city staff in an informal setting. On Monday night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Canyon Theater at the Boulder Public Library will be transformed into "Human City" for a free event.
Features will include finance staff playing candy blackjack, a chance to settle a score with parking enforcement officers by way of a staring contest or rock/paper/scissors competition, transportation planners constructing a multi-modal Hot Wheels track with residents, members of the Youth Opportunities Advisory Board and Community Relations staff sewing items for families in need, a human rights specialist hosting a multi-cultural musical jam session, a zero-waste putt-putt golf challenge, and more.

"Human City may be of particular interest for people seeking a more informal relationship with the city and city staff and for those interested in building strong community relationships, empathy, trust and respect in ways that support a healthy and thriving community," explained the city's event posting.
Participants are invited to bring any questions they may have about city projects and processes, and refreshments will be provided.
