Free Medicare Counseling Sessions to Be Hosted By Boulder County

Seniors encouraged to sign up for sessions to learn cost-saving tricks.

BOULDER, CO - Seniors in Boulder County will have the opportunity to sign up for a free, individual appointment to learn about their best plan options for the upcoming year. The Medicare open enrollment period will last from Oct. 15- Dec. 7 this year, and classes will be available in Boulder at the East Boulder Recreation Center and West Boulder Senior Center, in Lafayette at the Lafayette Public Library, and in Longmont at the Longs Peak Ave Senior Center.

Eligible seniors can meet with representatives from the Boulder County Area Agency on Aging's Medicare Counseling Program to evaluate options for the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan and Medicare Advantage Plan, in order to select the most affordable plan for next year.

Although the sessions are free, those interested are encouraged to sign up in advance by visiting http://www.bouldercountymedicarehelp.org.
