High Wind Warning For Some Metro Denver, Boulder County Regions

Wind could gust up to 80 mph Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued high wind warning for Jefferson, Boulder and west Douglas counties above 6,000 feet, and other Front Range regions. The wind warning will be in effect from 11 p.m. Saturday until 11 a.m. Sunday.

West wind is expected to gust between 25 and 40 mph, but some gusts could reach up to 80 mph, weather officials said.

"Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines," the weather alert reads.

"Power outages are possible. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution."
