The gusty, overnight Chinook winds will drive in temperatures near 60 by Wednesday afternoon.

BOULDER, CO -- The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch for Boulder County tonight. Gusts in wind-prone areas, particularly at higher elevations, could reach up to 75 mph. The NWS advises those with high profile or lightweight vehicles to avoid traveling in exposed areas of the high country tonight. On the plains east of I-25, gusts appear likely to top out at about 35 mph.

The Chinook-style winds will bring a dose of warm air to the region once the breeze dies down. Highs on Wednesday are expected to reach near 60.
