Jewish National Fund-USA Welcomes New Campaign Executive

Jewish National Fund-USA’s (JNF-USA) leadership are excited to welcome Abigail Mendel as the new JNF-USA Campaign Executive for the Mountain States regions. A Colorado native, Mendel is a welcome addition to the JNF-USA family and will focus on connecting the Boulder community to Israel through innovative and engaging events. She will also be the Mountain States professional for JNFuture, the organization’s division for 22–40-year-olds.

Abigail brings with her an intimate knowledge of the Jewish community, having gone to Shwayder Camp for 6 years, being a proud NFTY: The Reform Jewish Youth Movement alum, and being a founding mother of the Upsilon chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi, the University of Colorado Boulder’s only Jewish sorority.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the JNF-USA family because my Judaism and the values I was raised with are at the core of who I am,” said Mendel. “As our community returns to a ‘new normal,’ I look forward to creating new opportunities for all of us to connect to our ancestral soil, even if we are 8,000 miles away.”

Mendel also has a strong connection with the land and people of Israel, having visited the Holy Land three times in the past.

“My dream has always been to work within the Jewish non-profit world, and after I was a campus fellow in 2019, I knew that I did not want my journey with Jewish National Fund-USA to end,” she said. “I look forward to learning more and fundraising for so many crucial projects that JNF-USA is fronting that are truly changing the world!”
