Lafayette Council Appoints Carol Cutler To Fill Mayor's Seat
Cutler is a city council veteran who previously served as the city's mayor in 2012 and 2013.

LAFAYETTE, CO -- The Lafayette City Council appointed Carolyn Cutler to serve the city's mayor Monday night, filling the vacant seat left former mayor Christine Berg's surprise resignation in January. Cutler previously served as the city's mayor in 2012 and 2013, and was a member of the city council from 2005 to 2013. She will serve until November, when Berg's term was scheduled to expire.
Cutler has lived in Lafayette for more than 30 years, and taught in the Boulder Valley School District for two decades, retiring in 2009.
"The learning curve issue really lends itself to endorsing Carolyn," Council member Alexandra Lynch told the Daily Camera Monday. "She probably knows the city business better than we do."
