National Caregiver Training Program Offers Course in Louisville
The six-week donation-based course begins Oct. 25, and registration is required.

LOUISVILLE, CO -- Local caregivers for older adults will have the chance to learn and practice the necessary skills to provide quality care for their loved ones–both in and out of the home. The National Caregiver Training Program, offered by the Boulder County Area Agency on Aging, will begin on Oct. 25 in Louisville.
The program is taught by a registered nurse and covers personal care, safe wheelchair use, managing medications, taking vital signs, controlling infection, preventing falls, caring for someone on bedrest and more. It is designed to help family caregivers feel more confident about the care they provide, and each participating caregiver will receive a copy of Quick Tips for Caregivers, a home reference guide.
