Rare ‘dinosaur tree' finds new home at CU Boulder Greenhouse (coloradobiz.com) — A rare Wollemi pine nicknamed “Wally” now lives in CU Boulder’s ecology and evolutionary biology greenhouse after outgrowing a local alumni couple’s Boulder home. The critically endangered “dinosaur tree” will anchor hands-on lessons in paleobotany, climate-related conservation, and biodiversity for CU students while highlighting the university’s role in global species preservation.

Powerful Colorado winds cause power outages and a coffee shortage (cbsnews.com) — Hurricane-force winds along the Front Range knocked out power to more than a thousand customers west of Boulder, toppling trees and lines and sparking at least one fire.
