Boulder Chamber adds 7 from range of industries to board (bizwest.com) — Boulder’s business community is getting new leadership voices as the Boulder Chamber appoints seven new board members and two advisory members from sectors including energy, real estate, banking, food, and nonprofits. Local leaders say the additions will help guide strategic goals for the city’s economy and business climate in the coming years.

These Colorado hospitals are among nations best for maternity care: US News (kdvr.com) — Expecting parents in Boulder can take note: Boulder Community Health–Foothills Hospital has been named a high-performing hospital for maternity care in the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings. The list highlights top-performing facilities across Colorado, underscoring strong outcomes and quality measures for childbirth and newborn care in Boulder and beyond.
   

3. Rare ‘dinosaur tree' finds new home at CU Boulder Greenhouse (coloradobiz.com) — A rare Wollemi pine nicknamed “Wally” now lives in CU Boulder’s ecology and evolutionary biology greenhouse after outgrowing a local alumni couple’s Boulder home. The critically endangered “dinosaur tree” will anchor hands-on lessons in paleobotany, climate-related conservation, and biodiversity for CU students while highlighting the university’s role in global species preservation.
   

4. Powerful Colorado winds cause power outages and a coffee shortage (cbsnews.com) — Hurricane-force winds along the Front Range knocked out power to more than a thousand customers west of Boulder, toppling trees and lines and sparking at least one fire. While Idaho Springs businesses like Starbucks and a food pantry temporarily closed, crews also worked near Boulder and across multiple counties to restore electricity after a day of chasing downed lines.
   

5. Enterprise Gas Pipeline Spill; RISE Abortion Clinic Draws Protestors; New Arts Venue in Boulder; DPS Buys Parking Lots for $2.5 Mil (kgnu.org) — Boulder residents are seeing both tension and transformation, with protests targeting the new RISE Collective abortion clinic and plans emerging for a 2,500-seat arts venue and 500 housing units in East Boulder. The project near Pearl and Foothills would support Sundance-related events and local cultural uses but still needs Boulder City Council approval for its public-private financing structure.
