Presidents Day 2019: What's Open, Closed In Boulder County

Libraries, rec centers, and government offices will have modified hours in Longmont, Lafayette, Louisville, Erie, Superior, and Boulder.

BOULDER, CO -- Presidents Day is coming up on Monday, Feb. 18. For some people, it's a day of work like any other, but for public schools, government employees, and some private sector workers, it will be a day off. Here are the places around town that will have limited hours or closures for the holiday.

  • Public schools will be closed. If your children attend private school, check the school's calendar for confirmation on the holiday.
  • Most city administrative buildings will be closed for the day. This includes facilities in the City of Boulder, Boulder County, Longmont, Lafayette, Superior and Louisville. Town of Erie offices will be open normal hours.
  • Recreation Centers will largely be open, including:
    • Boulder's recreation centers, the Flatirons Golf Course, and the Boulder Reservoir, open normal hours
    • Louisville Recreation Center, call for hours.
    • Lafayette's Bob L. Burger Recreation Center and Indian Peaks Golf Course open regular hours
    • Erie Community Center, call for hours
  • Libraries, including the Boulder Public Library, all branches, Lafayette Public Library, the Longmont Public Library, and the Louisville Public Library will be closed.
    • The Erie Community Library will be closed.
    • The Lyons Community Library will be closed.
  • Bus Service, RTD will be operating on a normal schedule.
  • Post Offices will be closed, and there will be no mail delivery.
