Pumpkin Primer: Boulder County's Best Patches In 2018
Whether you're looking for fuzzy animals or a zombie paintball fight, there's a pumpkin patch for you.

BOULDER, CO - There's a corn maze for every day of the week this fall–some are even haunted. Boulder County is home to thousands of acres of farmland, so it's no surprise that our local list of pumpkin patches is hard to beat. Each farm hosts a different array of festive activities–some sell local organic produce, one has a pumpkin cannon, and one even has a hay bale mountain to climb if the early season snowstorms keep you out of the high country. Read on for all your options–you may have to visit a few!
Anderson Farms - 6728 County Road 3 1/4, Erie. Anderson hosts Colorado's longest running 25-acre corn maze. On weekend nights the docile puzzle transforms into Terror in the Corn and hosts a zombie paintball hunt. Don't miss wagon rides, a pumpkin cannon, farm animals, face painting, or the highly competitive Ducktona Halfpipe Duck Races. New this year is the all-ages, eight-seater combine slide. Check website for hours and rates, open through October 31.
Cottonwood Farm Halloween Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze - Cottonwood fans should note the farm's new address at 10600 Isabelle Road, Lafayette. A family farm with roots that date until the 1850s, Cottonwood hosts a corn bale maze, straw bale maze, animal petting zoo, and you-pick pumpkin field. Free admission on weekdays, check website for full hours and rates, open through October 31–though they will start selling Christmas trees shortly thereafter.

Munson Farms - 7355 Valmont Road, Boulder. Known across the county for their unbeatable sweet corn, the Munsons host a corn maze with a hayride and a pumpkin patch every fall. As a bonus, you can stock up on fresh produce while you are there, and take an extra spin through the maze instead of heading to the grocery store on your way home. Free admission, open through November 1.
Red Wagon Organic Farms Pumpkin Patch - 7694 N. 63rd Street, Longmont. One of the county's most beloved organic vegetable farms, it is quite an experience to get to see what goes on behind the scenes when Red Wagon opens its gates once a year for the annual pumpkin patch and straw bale maze. Meet some animals and take a pumpkin patch tour for $6. Open through October 31.
