Que's Espresso Locations Shut Down Over $80,000 Tax Debt
Despite windowfront seizure notices, owners promise that the locations "plan on being open within several days."

LONGMONT, CO -- Que's Espresso locations in Louisville and Longmont were seized by the Colorado Department of Revenue Thursday for $80,000 in unpaid taxes and other charges. Co-owner Rob Quesenberry told the Times-Call that he had a year-and-a-half old payment agreement with the Colorado Department of Revenue to clear the debt, but had fallen behind on his reimbursements.
A large notice posted on the front window of Que's Longmont location warned those looking for their daily java fix that the shop was now in the possession of the State of Colorado.

According to information given to the Times-Call by the Colorado Department of Revenue, businesses have 10 days to pay a liability in full after a seizure. After that, the department may begin the process of public auction.
The original Que's location, at 4770 Table Mesa Dr. in Boulder, was forced to move in 2017 after First National Bank took over the location. Following the closure, Que's opened its two current locations at 600 S. Airport Rd. in Longmont and 100 Health Park Dr. in Louisville. An announcement on the company website touts a soon-to-open location in Boulder's Meadow's Shopping Center on Baseline Road.
