Record-breaking Veterans Day Storm Wallops Boulder County
Total storm accumulation was more than double the previous record.

BOULDER, CO – With local meteorologist Matt Kelsch lamenting "one of my worst forecast performances," Boulder saw 12.6 inches of snow fall by Sunday night, smashing the previous Nov. 11 record of 5.8 inches as recorded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Another inch fell overnight to bring the storm total to 13.4 inches, according to Kelsch.
Local residents broke out the measuring sticks and helped keep an informal tally on social media as the storm continued to dump throughout the afternoon.
