RTD Rapid Transit Between Boulder And Longmont: Could It Happen?

A Dec. 6 public meeting is scheduled to answer questions and gather feedback.

BOULDER, CO -- The Regional Transportation District has come up with five options for rapid transit on the Diagonal Highway between Boulder and Longmont. On Dec. 6, Boulder County Transportation will hold a public meeting at Niwot's Left Hand Grange to present the plans and gather community feedback. Topics for discussion include station design, routing, connectivity, and parking options.

The meeting will start with an open house were attendees can review visuals and talk with staff. Around 6 p.m., staff will provide a presentation and answer questions.

A 2013 study on the northwest quadrant of RTD's service area highlighted Highway 119 rapid transit as a priority. Detailed information about all of the stops and routes being proposed is available at https://www.sh119brt.com/.
