Snow Expected Friday In Boulder, Mountains Get Weather Advisories

BOULDER, CO — Snow is likely to fall Friday in Boulder, according to the National Weather Service.

The chance of precipitation before 1 p.m. Friday is 50 percent, weather officials said.

Clouds can be expected through mid-morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 32.

Boulder residents can expect a breezy Friday, with a northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph, but that will increase to between 12 and 17 mph by the afternoon, the weather service said. Winds could gust up to 30 mph.

New snow accumulation of less than half an inch is possible — Boulder needs one-tenth of an inch for the accumulation to be considered measurable.

Colorado's mountains are getting their first heavy snow of the season — up to 30 inches could fall in west Jackson and west Grand counties, and winter weather advisories are in effect for parts of Summit, Grand, Park and Lake counties.
