Storm Alert: Winter Weather Advisory

Snow is likely to arrive again tonight, along with wind and blizzard conditions further east.

BOULDER, CO -- Weather forecasters are finally beginning to nail down their projections for a storm headed for Colorado tonight — and if you are planning any travel to the east or west of the Front Range, you may want to take note. Boulder has been placed under a Winter Weather Advisory that extends through 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Snow is likely to begin at about 8 p.m. this evening, according to meteorologist Brendan Heberton at 5280 Weather. With it will come gusty winds and bands of heavy snow, though the total accumulation is still up in the air.

The eastern half of the state is expected to be hit with the strongest gusts, where the National Weather Service is forecasting blizzard conditions. If you are planning travel home after the holiday weekend, be sure to check the latest report before you head out on the road.
