Too Late To Mail Your Ballot: Secretary of State

As of Monday, Republicans outpaced Democrats in returned ballots statewide.

BOULDER, CO – Coloradans can still vote–and even register–right up until election day. As of Monday, however, Colorado Secretary of State Wayne Williams recommends that you no longer return your ballot via the U.S. Postal Service. The postmark isn't enough, explains the secretary of state's office, and the ballot must be physically in the hands of an election official by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Instead, voters can still turn in ballots at 24-hour drop-off locations around the state, or vote at the polls on Election Day.

"I have worked very hard to provide funding for our county clerks to set up 24-hour drop boxes so voters can drop off their ballots any time of the day or night," Williams said in a press release. "In Colorado, we want to make it as easy as possible for people to vote."
