Upcoming Road Closures Near Valmont In Boulder County

Here's a schedule of road closures on 61st and 63rd streets.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — Paving is underway on some main arteries in Boulder County — 61st and 63rd streets will be closed between Jay and Valmont roads from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on:

  • Monday, Aug. 23
  • Tuesday, Aug. 24

The closures will be in effect for drivers and cyclists, but residents will be allowed to access their homes:

  • Residents south of Andrus Road will need to use Valmont Road to access their homes.
  • Residents north of Andrus Road will need to use Jay Road to access their homes.

Public access to the Tree Farm nursery will be maintained from Valmont Road, officials said.

Detours for all other travelers will be established on 75th Street, officials said.

"The closure dates and times are weather and material supply dependent," Boulder County transportation officials said in a news release.

"There is currently an asphalt shortage throughout the region, so supplies are not guaranteed each day. If asphalt is not available on any given day, the road will remain open, but the schedule will be extended."
