When, Where & How To Vote In Boulder County: A User's Guide
Are you registered? Need to drop off your ballot? All the information you need is right here.

BOULDER, CO -- With just a few weeks remaining before this year's Nov. 6 Election Day, local voters are focused on making tough choices on state and local issues and candidates. Once you've made your decisions, how can you be sure that your voice will be counted?
Get Registered
In Colorado, voters can register right up until Election Day. If you'd like to get a mail in ballot, however, you need to register at least 8 days in advance. Walk-up registration will be available at polling locations. To be eligible to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, be 18 years old or older at the time of the election, be a Colorado resident for at least 22 days before the election, and you must not be serving a sentence of confinement, detention, or parole for a felony conviction.

Mail In Ballots
Registered voters should have already received a mail-in ballot at the address listed on their voter registration. You can mail that ballot in, but be sure to check the cut-off date listed on the information slip, and be sure to affix proper postage! You can also drop the ballot at one of the county's 24-hour drop off locations listed here.
Service centers and drop boxes will open on Monday, Oct. 22.
If your ballot is damaged, you make an error and need a new one, or you would prefer to vote in person, you can visit one of the staffed locations on Election Day until 7 p.m.
Once you have turned your ballot in, you can visit the county's Ballot Track tool to sign up for text message or email alerts, or just check in on the status of your ballot.
