Pedestrian Hit By Car At South Academy, Pace Drive

Police say the pedestrian was crossing South Academy Boulevard when a vehicle, going south, hit them, bouncing into oncoming traffic.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — A pedestrian was injured Sunday when they were hit by a car at the intersection of South Academy Boulevard and Pace Drive, according to a police blotter.

Around 3 p.m., the pedestrian was crossing South Academy when a vehicle, heading south, hit them. The vehicle then swerved into the northbound lanes "striking several vehicles," the blotter said.

The pedestrian was seriously injured, police said.

Police closed the road during the investigation, but it has since reopened.
