DENVER, CO – A lot happened in 2018, both nationally and locally. It's hard to single out just one story that captured our readers this year. So instead, we picked the five stories that Denver Patch readers were most interested in.
Uber Shooting: Denver Police ID Passenger Who Died, Arrest Driver Uber driver Michael Andre Hancock, 29, was arrested in June after shooting his passenger, Hyun Kim, 45, of Englewood. Hancock called 911 to report the crime, saying Kim had attacked him while he was driving. Kim was later found to be intoxicated. Hancock is charged with first-degree murder.
'Dorms For Adults' Denver High-End Community Planned Derided as "assisted living for millennials," a 220-unit co-living space featuring furnished rooms with communal kitchens and living space was announced by X Social Communities.

5 More Things You Should Know About Denver's Amazon HQ2 Bid - Denver was a bit cocky after the New York Times published an article saying the Mile High City was perfect for Amazon's second headquarters. Now we know HQ2 will split sites between suburban DC (home of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos) and New York City. Oh well.
