Arrest Made In Fatal Montbello Shooting Of Denver Woman

Ticoa Floyd-Brown​, 43, was shot and killed Saturday in the 5000 block of Troy Street. Denver Police arrested Randy Bourgeois,​ 52.

DENVER, CO – Denver Police said they had made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a woman in the Montbello neighborhood Saturday.

Ticoa Floyd-Brown, 43, was shot and killed Dec. 15 around 9:35 a.m. in the 5000 block of Troy Street. A report from the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner said Brown's cause of death was from a gunshot wound and the manner of death was homicide.

Police arrived at the scene around 10 a.m. and arrested Randy Bourgeois, 52, for investigation of first-degree murder. Bourgeois evidently made 911 calls to police after the shooting, according to a redacted police affidavit.

He was interviewed in custody by investigators, but refused to talk without a lawyer present, the affidavit said. Police did not say what relationship, if any, Bourgeois had to the victim.

Bourgeois is being held in the Denver County Jail on no bond.
