Coloradans Don't Trust These Medical Professionals, Survey Finds
A recent nationwide survey reveals which doctors Colorado residents trust the most and least when it comes to their healthcare.
A recent nationwide survey has revealed that Colorado residents place the highest trust in cardiologists when it comes to their healthcare, and the lowest in chiropractors.
The survey, conducted by Grand Canyon University, asked more than 2,400 Americans to rate how much they trust different types of medical professionals on a scale of 1 to 10. In Colorado, cardiologists earned the top spot, with consistently high ratings across age and gender demographics. The state’s preference mirrors a broader national trend: cardiologists were named the most trusted medical specialists in 17 states overall.
On the other end of the spectrum, chiropractors received Colorado’s lowest average trust rating, ranking the least trusted in 9 different states. Alternative medicine providers, including chiropractors, acupuncturists, and herbalists, were among the least trusted categories nationwide, with skepticism especially high in the western U.S.
