A home in the historic McElmo Canyon has been named the coolest Airbnb in Colorado.
MESA VERDE, CO —A unique home that's built into a red rock cliff near Mesa Verde National Park is the coolest Airbnb in Colorado, according to Condé Nast Traveler. Owned by a creative brother and sister team, the Cliff House was built in McElmo Canyon on Sleeping Ute Mountain.
"Secreted off a single-lane dirt road, this unique rental gives new meaning to the word glamping," Condé Nast editors wrote.
"The towering rock is the star design element in both the living room and bath. While there is no TV here, you may get lucky and spot a bobcat or mountain lion."

The one-bedroom cliff house is landscaped with native plants and a small lawn.
The cost of the popular Airbnb varies depending on length of stay and the time of year, but on average, it will set you back several hundred dollars per night.

Condé Nast Traveler put together a list of Airbnbs in all 50 states. The top listings are run by Superhosts who have 4.8 ratings or higher.
Condé Nast Traveler's list of coolest Airbnbs include a Bywater mansion in New Orleans dating back to the 1880s, and a prefab metal caterpillar dome house in Detroit.
