DENVER, CO — Denver International Airport is the 4th worst airport in the country for flight delays, according to a new FinanceBuzz report. The average departure delay from DEN is 63 minutes, the study shows.

Analysts gathered data from the U.S. Department of Transportation and looked at the total number of passengers departing from each airport, the percentage of flights delayed and the average length of the delay.

The collective time that DEN passengers spent delayed in 2018 was 792 years, FinanceBuzz reported. A total of 22 percent of flights in Denver were delayed or cancelled.

The worst airport in the country for delays was Chicago O'Hare International Airport, followed by Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
