Denver Blizzard Warning: Get Ready For Another 'Bomb Cyclone'

Blizzard Warning issued for Denver area and parts of Colorado between noon Wednesday and noon Thursday.

DENVER, CO – After high temperatures near the 80s on Tuesday, April 9 in Denver, expect more blizzard conditions starting Wednesday afternoon, April 10, with a temperature drop to the low 20s and winds up to 60 miles per hour.

The National Weather Service issued an official "blizzard warning" and said there was a chance of a second "bomb cyclone" effect, similar to the storm that hit Denver in March.

"Drastic changes in the weather are expected to occur on Wednesday as a strong cold front will race across northeast Colorado which will bring much colder temperatures, strong north winds and heavy snow," NWS said in a statement. "Areas of heavy snowfall across the Front Range to the far eastern plains and strong winds will result in poor visibility and difficult driving conditions. Temperatures plummeting will result in icy roads. Residents of northeast Colorado should begin making preparations for this developing storm to avoid being caught by harsh winter conditions."
