- A dog fell through ice Saturday into a small lake at the Park Hill golf course, but rescue crews were able to save the pup and no other injuries were reported. It's a good reminder, as icy weather takes over, to be vigilant when walking our four-legged family members near bodies of water. (CBS Denver)
- A unique home that's built into a red rock cliff near Mesa Verde National Park is the coolest Airbnb in Colorado, according to Condé Nast Traveler. Owned by a creative brother and sister team, the Cliff House was built in McElmo Canyon on Sleeping Ute Mountain. (Denver Patch)

- Rep. Ed Perlmutter, of our state's 7th Congressional District, recently introduced legislation that aims to protect local journalism's role in supporting democracy. The resolution says that local reporting is essential to holding governance accountable. Representatives also introduced the Saving Local News Act, which would make it easier for news outlets to become nonprofits. (Colorado Newsline)

- A 3-year-old German shepherd dog is up for adoption, and the Denver Police Department posted a very handsome pic. Riju is "very dignified," and "polite and quiet," the department said. (Facebook)
- If you plan on attending events in Denver, be sure to check with the venue to understand their vaccine requirements, city officials said. Colorado's recently amended public health order calls for venues to require proof of vaccination for indoor, unseated events of more than 500 people. (Facebook)
- Denver police are warning of a scam in which callers claim to be with Xcel Energy, and threaten to cut power if a payment isn't made. (Facebook)
