Dog Tired: After 7 Years, Denver Sheriff's K9 Taylor Will Chillax
No more bomb-sniffing for "Tay Tay," a trained K9 officer who's helped in explosive searches for law enforcement around the state.

DENVER, CO – The Denver Sheriff's Department said goodbye to a super-sniffer this week when K9 Taylor was retired from service.
“Tay Tay has been one of the best partners I will ever have, but it’s time for her to rest and enjoy her life,” said her human, Deputy Patrick Hynes, in a statement. Taylor started with Hynes in November of 2012. “She’s a member of my family and will continue to live with us.”
Taylor, a chocolate Labrador born in May of 2010, was trained in detecting explosive odors and was "very good at her job," the sheriff's office said in a statement. Along with being a hit with children at community events, Taylor was used to detect explosives all over the state for other law enforcement agencies.
