Denver Officer Struck By Vehicle, Driver Faces DUI Charges
An officer was outside their patrol vehicle when they were struck by a driver, who then took off, police said.

DENVER, CO — A driver faces DUI charges after they struck and seriously injured an officer early Saturday morning in Denver, police said.
The driver was outside their patrol vehicle investigating a crash around 2 a.m., at I-25 and West Colfax Avenue, when the driver struck the officer and took off, according to the Denver Police Department.
Police were able to arrest the driver and take them into custody.

The area was blocked off while an investigation was underway.

As of Saturday morning, the police officer was in stable condition, Fox 31 reports.
No further details about the crash were released.
UPDATE: This crash occurred on SB I-25 at W Colfax Ave. The officer was investigating an early crash and was struck outside of their patrol vehicle. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The officer is in stable condition.
