Ivybrook Academy, a one-of-a-kind half day pre-school program experiencing continued growth throughout the United States, is opening soon in Parker, Colorado, a suburb southeast of Denver. Ivybrook Academy Parker looks forward to opening its doors to students and families in August of 2022.

Ivybrook Academy, based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, is recognized for its multi-faceted approach to early childhood education. It combines elements of Montessori and Reggio Emilia education with Multiple Intelligence Research, crafting a balanced curriculum with emphasis on creating a continuous cycle of learning, designed to reflect a child’s interests and needs.

“The calls for information about enrollment are steadily flowing in. I’m thrilled to see parents in our community recognize the advantages of this type of pre-school opportunity,” says Yamile Greiving, principal of Ivybrook Academy Parker. Yamile and her husband Brian live nearby, and serve as owners of the new campus. They were attracted to Ivybrook because of the individualized approach to learning for each child.

“There is no school like this in our area,” explains Brian. “The Ivybrook way focuses on allowing each child to learn at their speed with their natural curiosity. Plus, you couldn’t ask for a better principal!”

Yamile has an extensive background in early childhood education and school administration and a natural love of children that began with babysitting back in junior high. “I knew I wanted to have a career educating children,” she says. “It’s so rewarding for me to see children grow and learn. I love that our school will allow little ones the opportunity to be creative and expressive.”

The Greivings have plenty of experience with children as parents of four boys. Three of those boys are in the military, their youngest is in junior college, and they have one grandchild with a second one on the way. Parenthood has given them a keen perspective and an understanding of what young parents are facing today.

“We understand that parents want to do the best they can for their children, which is why we are happy to introduce this type of beneficial curriculum to families in our community” says Brian. “Ivybrook is ideal for little learners. It allows children with varying learning styles to explore based on their individual strengths and interests,” adds Yamile.

Ivybrook Academy Parker is located at 10120 Twenty Mile Road. Enrollment for half day classes is now open. The pre-school will accommodate students ages 2 through pre-kindergarten. Families can learn more about the curriculum at www.ivybrookacademy.com/ivybrook-academy-parker-co/

“The opening of our second location in Colorado is very exciting,” says Drew McWilliams, Chief Executive Officer of Ivybrook Academy. “We are seeing more and more communities embracing Ivybrook’s unique approach to early childhood education. We are humbled and proud to make this available to communities nationwide and strive to be wherever families need our hybrid curriculum. We look forward to welcoming young learners to the new Parker campus in the coming months.”
